The farm is on top of a hill, surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The rooms are comfy (I tried 2!) and the huge living room gives space to all to socialize, play, eat or do their own thing. The funny dogs, the horse, the chickens and the birds are a great plus in this peaceful retreat. Finally, Yvette and Paul are very friendly and helpful.” Laurent Canada 2019

“We can’t say often enough how much we enjoyed our stay at the farm. It is a lovely place with a beautiful view (you have to see the sunset!) The farm is a very unique and welcoming place. Mostly because Yvette and Paul are such great hosts and kind people. Unfortunately, we could only stay for two nights and we highly recommend staying longer to enjoy the farm to its fullest, but nevertheless we had a great time and the chance to attend a dinner in the evening, which was delicious and cosy. The farm is a bit far from town, but that is what makes it special as well. Perfect place to relax! Their dogs and the cat are great as well! We would always come back! “My husband and I LOVED staying here. I rarely review the places we’ve stayed because we’ve spent long chunks of time traveling, but this was our absolute favorite place out of all of them. The finca is owned, decorated and run by an awesome young British couple with their friendly dogs. It’s loaded with charm, and the grounds are beautiful. It’s just a walk into Finlandia (they offered a ride into town in the mornings, but we usually walked because the views are stunning). The meals there are SO lovely- it’s definitely worth joining for either breakfast or dinner. We are vegetarians and there was loads of food to eat, and it was such a great opportunity to meet the other travelers. “Bester Aufenthalt in Filandia! Wir hatten ein paar wunderbare Tage und Nächte auf der Steelhorse Farm. Die Farm ist groß und trotzdem gemütlich. Die Gastgeber sind beide ganz tolle Menschen die sich wunderbar um ihre Gäste kümmern. Auch empfehlen kann ich Frühstück und Abendessen, beides sehr gut und reichlich. Es gibt so viele Aktivitäten auf und um die Farm herum das ich einen längeren Aufenthalt nur empfehlen kann. Ebenfalls haben wir mit Yvette ( die Gastgeberin) eine Reittour unternommen. Die 3 Pferde der Farm sind super gepflegt, gut genährt und wohl erzogen. Und man muss sich keine Sorgen machen das die Tiere ausgebeutet werden ( wie es anderswo der Fall ist) Auch die anderen Tiere der Farm- Hunde, Katzen, Hühner sind freundlich und gepflegt und es ist schön mit ihnen Zeit zu verbringen. Wenn wir wieder nach Kolumbien kommen ist das sicher unsere erste Station! Das war einer unserer schönsten Stationen in ganz Kolumbien. “Absolutely amazing place to recharge and enjoy the local townships. I stayed for 2 weeks and would happily stay longer. Meeting other really wonderful travellers and partying with them over the Christmas and new year period was fantastic, and made my year! The homemade food is also delicious as is the big urn of fresh coffee every morning. The horses are beautiful and I enjoyed riding, especially at sunset, watching the local hills change colour. Both times i reached, i was tired and drained.. Both times i left, I was rejuvenated and filled with confidence and clarity..
There aren’t many spaces like this where you feel like you just fit in comfortably..

“This truly is a place for overlanders. If you are looking for a place to recharge your batteries or a place to connect with like minded people this is it. Paul and Yvette have a great dream started here and we were happy to support it. The house is spacious, and the room was bigger than we are used to. The guest kitchen was perfect to cook our own meals, but if your looking to have meals provided they offer a great menu. The beer fridge was convenient and well priced, a dangerous combo.
